Mountains, Fairies and missing people; our team in Pakistan goes on a trip!

Summer time in Pakistan and we decided to head up to the mountains and enjoy the fresh cool air! On 16th June 2011, our Lahore team set off on an official (non-business – just fun) trip to Naran and Kaghan.

Starting at nearly 2 am, we set off to what are considered to be some of the most beautiful places in the world. 14 hrs and several cities later, we moved onwards from Abbotabad, enjoying the rain throughout which made it very pleasant. Our first stop was in Shogran, home to some splendid hill stations, beautiful lush green mountains and the most fascinating water falls; all providing breath taking views, where we stayed for a day.
In the morning, our first stop was SIrri Paey, a beautiful hill station which a gorgeous lake. It was time to unwind from our daily routines and take in all the beauty; not to mention the weather and the soothing calm added to our ‘romantic’ mood. Shortly after, we felt we were in heaven as the clouds descended upon us (literally) and we could see the clouds below and around us.

On the 2nd day of our re-creational trip, we started our journey ahead to Naran, where Green View Hotel awaited us! After having some rest at the resort, we left for Lake Lulusar in a jeep that rattled us to our bones in the 3 hour ride!

Mr. Talwaar Khan, our jeep driver, proved to be rather exotic man of sorts; driving the jeep on the hanging bridge while smoking and singing songs at with high speed as if driving down a normal motorway, while we all clung on for our lives! On our way back to the hotel, we were introduced to two more lakes: Payala Lake and Della Lake, while helping ourselves, to  some fried spicy pakooras at Jalkadh. Exhausted from our jeep ride, it was time to hit the sack!

And our journey took some rather exciting turns on the third day when we decided to out our teamwork at play by taking on river rafting in River Kunhar. It was a testing experience and proudly we did well. Charged (and wet) from our rafting experience, we left for the most beautiful lake in the world, Lake Saif al-Malook. It is prudent to mention that some of us saw fairies walking by the lake side! … only to find out these were in fact … tourists! Exhausted from our days experience, we have a leisurely dinner and prepared for the next day.

Come morning, we just lazed around, took in the scenery, tried to located Jawad (long story!) and well … just roamed around in some of the most beautiful mountain in the world. A major accomplishment for the day was completing our plans and feasibility for moving office to the mountains.

Armed with this information, we set off back to Lahore at night. We hope to see the rest of you soon at our offices by the lakes where the fairies can be found!
